University President Announces the Establishment of Al-Qurna Polytechnic College

The President of the Southern Technical University, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, announced:

“We are pleased to share with our dear students, university staff, and the wider community the joyful news of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s decision to convert the Al-Qurna Technical Institute into Al-Qurna Polytechnic College.

This is an important academic achievement that adds to the growing list of successes of the Southern Technical University. It was made possible through the dedication of our hardworking team and their unwavering support for the university’s path of development.”

This decision aligns with the national strategy for developing higher education through the establishment of Polytechnic Colleges, which aim to strengthen the connection between technical universities and the industrial and production sectors. It is a step that will contribute to supplying the labor market with advanced technical competencies capable of meeting the needs of development and technological progress.

The University President also stated:
