Basra Technical Institute Embodies the Spirit of Husseini Giving Through a Water Distribution Campaign During the Arbaeen Pilgrimage

As Part of Its Social Responsibility, Basra Technical Institute Launches Humanitarian Water Distribution Campaign During the Arbaeen Pilgrimage

In line with its commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, Basra Technical Institute organized a humanitarian water distribution campaign during the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, Dean of the Institute.

The campaign aimed to serve the Husseini processions and provide essential support to pilgrims in Basrah Governorate. It featured active field participation from Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary; Mr. Murtadha Mohammed Bandar, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Mr. Duraid Habeeb Ali, University Liaison Officer; and Mr. Ali Mahmoud, Director of Student Activities at Southern Technical University.

Additional contributors included the Head of the Student Activities Division, the Head of the Legal Division, the Media and Government Communications Unit, numerous Institute staff members, and a group of dedicated student volunteers who worked directly in the field to support pilgrims and processions throughout the province.

This initiative reflects the Institute’s ongoing dedication to fostering community service and promoting the humanitarian and spiritual values embodied in the legacy of Imam Hussein (PBUH)—values of sacrifice, generosity, and the pursuit of justice and dignity.
