“United by Our Love for Imam Hussein” — The Technological Technical Institute Launches a Major Cleanup Campaign Along the Pilgrimage Route

Under the direction of Assistant Professor Dr. Diya Kammel Shary, Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basrah, the Institute organized a large-scale cleaning campaign along the walkway and the route of the Husseini processions. This initiative comes as part of the Institute’s commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to promoting the values of volunteerism and public service.

The campaign witnessed active participation from the Dean himself, along with Mr. Murtadha Mohammed Bandar, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Mr. Duraid Habeeb Ali, University Liaison Officer.

Also taking part in the campaign were:

• Mr. Ali Mahmoud, Director of Student Activities at the Southern Technical University

• The Head of the Student Activities Division at the Institute

• The Head of the Legal Division

• The Media and Government Communication Unit

• A number of Institute staff members

• A student volunteer team

This initiative aimed to help prepare the path for welcoming pilgrims by ensuring a clean and safe environment during the pilgrimage season. It also reflects the Institute’s ongoing commitment to supporting community-oriented initiatives that foster a spirit of cooperation, volunteerism, and civic duty.
