Under the patronage of Assistant Professor Dr. Diah Kammel Shary, Dean of the Technological Technical Institute – Basrah / Southern Technical University, the Women’s Affairs Unit organized a targeted educational campaign as part of a series of initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of informed electoral participation.
The campaign involved the preparation and distribution of an informative booklet titled “The Smart Student’s Guide to Elections.” This guide offers a clear and accessible explanation designed to encourage critical thinking among female students before voting or running in elections. It also outlines the rights and responsibilities of female students within the electoral process, aiming to instill principles of accountability and informed decision-making.
The organizers emphasized that this campaign is part of a broader program of awareness and education preceding electoral activities, reflecting the Institute’s commitment to fostering civic engagement, critical awareness, and meaningful participation in governance among its female student body.
