President of the Southern Technical University Visits Basra Technical Institute for Technology to Discuss Development and Rehabilitation Plans
Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, President of the Southern Technical University, accompanied by Professor Dr. Waleed Abduljaleel, the University’s Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, visited the Basra Technical Institute for Technology. They were received by Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, Dean of the Institute.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the future plan to rehabilitate the buildings of academic departments, laboratories, and technical workshops. The talks also addressed strategies for developing teaching and technical staff, and emphasized the importance of utilizing the summer break to implement these vital projects. These efforts aim to enhance the educational environment and provide students with a comprehensive training setting.
As part of the visit, the Dean accompanied the University President on a tour of the Basra Medical Technical Institute, where prospects for joint cooperation between the two institutes were explored. Discussions highlighted ways to promote integration across different specializations and support the advancement of technical education within the university.
These visits reflect the University Presidency’s ongoing commitment to supporting its affiliated institutions, gaining first-hand insight into operational challenges, and working to overcome obstacles in order to deliver high-quality educational services.
