Scientific Seminar on Hemorrhagic Fever Held at the Technical Technological Institute in Basra
Under the patronage of Assistant Professor Dr. Diya Kammil Shary, Dean of the Technical Technological Institute in Basra, the institute, in collaboration with the Basra Health Directorate, organized a scientific seminar titled “Hemorrhagic Fever: Modes of Transmission and Prevention Methods.” The event was part of ongoing awareness efforts aimed at promoting public health and preventing communicable diseases.
The seminar was delivered by Dr. Ria Habeebi Abdul-Imam, who provided a comprehensive overview of key medical and scientific information related to hemorrhagic fever. Her presentation covered the main routes of infection, symptoms of the disease, and essential preventive measures—particularly in light of the seasonal rise in risk from certain virus strains known to cause the illness.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of the Institute, the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, alongside a number of faculty and staff members. Attendees engaged actively with the seminar content, posing questions and offering insightful contributions during the discussion.
This seminar reflects the institute’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility, collaboration with health institutions, and its active role in spreading preventive awareness among students and the wider academic community.
