The Electronic Computing Division, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit and the Student Activities Division, organized a specialized training workshop titled “Account Security in the Age of Digital Acceleration.”
The workshop was held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, and was presented by Ms. Shafaq Qasim Radi, Head of the Electronic Computing Division at the institute. The session was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Abdul Nasser Abdul Jabbar, along with a number of staff members and students.
The workshop highlighted the importance of protecting one’s digital identity, offering guidance on securing account recovery information, enabling two-factor authentication, and applying practical steps to safeguard digital accounts. Ms. Radi also outlined major cybersecurity threats facing users today and introduced effective strategies to mitigate risks and ensure a safer digital environment.
This workshop reflects the institute’s ongoing commitment to raising digital awareness among its staff and students, while also strengthening their ability to navigate the growing cybersecurity challenges brought on by rapid digital transformation.
