Assistant Professor Dr.Diyah Kammel Shary , Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, along with the academic and administrative assistants, the Head of the Chemical Industries Department, and several faculty members, received a ministerial committee from the Ministry of Higher Education on an official visit to the Institute.

The visit aimed to explore the possibility of establishing an Oil and Gas Refining Branch within the Chemical Industries Department, as part of the Institute’s academic development plan to meet the labor market’s demands, especially in the vital oil sector in Basra.

The committee expressed its admiration for the available resources at the Institute, both material and human, which can effectively contribute to supplying the oil companies with skilled middle-level technical staff, supporting industrial and energy development in the country.

This initiative is part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s ongoing efforts to strengthen technical education and direct it toward specializations that meet the needs of vital economic sectors.
