With the Support of the Dean, Department of Power Mechanics Technology Organizes a Scientific Field Visit to the South Refineries Company

In line with the institute’s commitment to practical field-based education, the Department of Power Mechanics Technology at the Technical Technological Institute organized a scientific field visit to the South Refineries Company. The visit was held under the patronage of Assistant Professor Dr. Diaa Kamel Shary, Dean of the Institute, and was directly supervised by Dr. Duna Al-Aidani, Head of the Department, with the participation of second-year students from the Refrigeration Branch, along with several staff members. The visit aimed to enhance students’ practical experience and connect academic knowledge with real-world industrial applications. During the tour, students observed operational mechanisms within the refinery units and were introduced to key modern technologies used in energy systems and industrial refrigeration. This initiative is part of the department’s broader strategy to boost student competence, develop hands-on skills aligned with labor market demands, and foster productive collaboration between the institute and industrial institutions in the region.
