The Technical Institute of Technology in Basra organized an awareness campaign to combat drug abuse, under the guidance of the Dean of the Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Arkan Yaqub Yusuf. The campaign was jointly organized by the Student Activities Department and the Media and Government Communication Department, in collaboration with the Directorate of Drug Control in Basra.

The campaign involved placing awareness posters in various locations across Basra Governorate, including gas stations, public places, and sites within the Technical Institute of Technology. The goal of this campaign was to raise awareness among the public about the dangers of drugs and their negative effects on individuals and society, while promoting a culture of prevention.
