The Department of Power Mechanical Technologies participated in a volunteer tree-planting campaign at the Technical Institute of Technology in Basra, in celebration of Global Tree Planting Day, under the guidance of the Dean of the Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Arkan Yaqub. The campaign involved planting several saplings in the garden opposite the department, aimed at enhancing green spaces and improving the environment within the institute.
The campaign was actively participated in by Assistant Professor Dr. Dena Al-Aidani, Head of the Department, and Ms. Lamaan Rady, Department Secretary, along with a number of department staff members and the institute’s volunteer team, as well as a group of students. The campaign was carried out in cooperation with the Services Department, the Agriculture Unit, and the Student Activities Department, which helped organize the work and provide logistical and technical support to ensure the success of the initiative.
