The Power Mechanical Technologies Department Organizes a Religious Awareness Seminar on Fasting in Collaboration with the Student Activities Division
Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technical Institute in Basra, Associate Professor Dr. Arkan Yacoub, and in collaboration with the Student Activities Division, the Power Mechanical Technologies Department organized a religious awareness seminar titled “Fasting is a Shield from Hellfire,” in celebration of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
The seminar was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Abdul Nasser Abdul Jabbar Aboud, the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Mr. Murtada Mohammed Bandar, in addition to the Head of the Power Mechanical Technologies Department, Associate Professor Dr. Dunya Tariq, and several faculty members and students from the department.
The lecture was delivered by legal scholar Sheikh As’ad Abdul-Raouf Al-Asadi, who discussed the significance of fasting from both religious and spiritual perspectives. He also provided a series of recommendations and guidelines to follow during the holy month, aiming to enhance religious awareness among the students and attendees.
This seminar is part of a series of awareness events the department organizes in collaboration with the Student Activities Division, emphasizing the importance of religious and ethical guidance in shaping the character of university students and promoting religious and human values within the academic community.
