Within the Activities of the Educational Guidance and Counseling Week

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technological Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Arkan Yaqoub Youssef, the Department of Electronic Technologies held a seminar titled “Combating Cyber Blackmail,” aimed at enhancing community awareness of the importance of confronting negative phenomena in cyber space.The lecture was delivered by Mr. Youssef Mahmoud Salem, who detailed the concepts and methods of cyber blackmail, along with the challenges associated with confronting it and the best ways to combat it through awareness and legal measures. The seminar also discussed the role of technology in enhancing digital security and protecting individuals from becoming victims of such crimes.Ms. Ghufran Kifah chaired the seminar, which concluded with valuable recommendations, including the need to spread digital awareness among all segments of society, develop individuals’ skills in protecting their personal data, and enhance the role of educational institutions in preparing capable personnel to face the challenges of the digital age.The event witnessed remarkable attendance from the institute’s students, reflecting their interest in issues of digital and community security.
