According to the instructions of the Dean of the Technical Institute in Basra, Professor Dr. Arkan Yaqub, the Women’s Affairs Unit held a seminar entitled “Transitioning Towards Electronic Payment”. The seminar was presented by Mr. Mortada Mohammed Bandar, the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs. The seminar addressed the definition and importance of electronic payment in transferring funds between bank accounts and exchanging money between individuals or companies. It also highlighted the importance and advantages of using electronic payment methods in terms of improving individuals’ quality of life, facilitating commercial and financial transactions, and providing users with security instead of carrying cash to avoid the risk of theft and loss. The seminar was attended by a number of institute staff members and Ms. Israa Sameer Ali, the head of the Women’s Affairs Unit and the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit.
