A delegation from the Basra Governorate Council/National Center for Occupational Health and Safety in Basra visited the Basra Technical Institute to assess the implementation of occupational health and safety regulations and conditions, The delegation met with Dr. Arkan Yaqub, the institute’s dean, and Dr. Abdul-Nasser Abdul-Jabbar, the scientific assistant, who were accompanied by Mr. Ali Fadel, the head of the Services and Civil Defense Department, during their tour of the institute’s departments and corridors, they praised the institute for implementing occupational safety conditions and provided some valuable observations and recommendations, which will be acted upon.
