Under the patronage of Mr. Arkan Yaqoub Youssef, the Dean of the Technological Institute, the Department of Civil Technology organized a field scientific visit to the Al-Rafah Residential Complex site. The visit aimed to enhance the practical knowledge of students and connect the academic curriculum with field applications.
The visit, which is part of the students’ training program, included an overview of the latest technologies and practices used in the construction and building sector. Students were divided into groups to explore different sections of the project, including:
– Foundation and Infrastructure Area: Where they learned about excavation stages and foundation preparation.
– Construction and Building Stages: With a focus on methods for implementing concrete structures.
– Finishing and Completion Techniques: Including insulation, painting, and flooring installation.
The supervising engineers on the project provided detailed explanations about the materials used, modern equipment and devices, and methods for monitoring and ensuring quality at every stage of the work. Students were also given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the challenges faced by the project, along with the innovative solutions implemented to overcome them.
The visit represented a unique educational experience, as it enhanced the students’ understanding of the practical applications of the theoretical knowledge they receive in the classroom, while also inspiring them to engage more actively with their field of study.
